The Global Challenge

In 2006, while most were just watching cartoons, Ben was busy creating them. He entered a massive international competition hosted by Cartoon Network Studios (USA). The challenge? To design a brand-new villain for the hit series Codename: Kids Next Door.

The Birth of a Villain

Ben’s imagination went into "hyper-focus" mode. He sat down and built a character with a dark, commanding "Aura" and a deep backstory—originally named Darkfear. Out of thousands of entries from across the globe, Ben’s intuitive design didn't just place—it won.

Operation: Hollywood

Ben’s creation was so impactful that the studio adapted it into the legendary villain Grandfather. His character became the primary antagonist for the feature-length movie, Codename: Kids Next Door – Operation: Z.E.R.O. Seeing his own "Toon" come to life on a global screen was a life-changing moment that proved one thing: Ben’s stories have a place on the world stage.

A Legacy of Character

Winning this major competition at such a young age was the spark that ignited the BCP Toon Tales archive. It gave Ben the confidence to keep building his "entwined" universes, knowing that his characters have the power to capture the imagination of millions.
